This Associate in Arts (A.S.) degree program provides students with a strong visual arts foundation, combined with a choice of electives in areas like web design, digital photography and fashion design. As a fine arts major, you'll explore the disciplines of design, drawing and painting, and gain an awareness of the role of art in the development of cultural history. Renowned visiting artists and artists-in-residence will expand your horizons. You'll create a portfolio and leave SUNY Ulster well qualified to transfer to four-year degree programs in the visual arts.

 

Students who go on to obtain a bachelor's degree in visual arts will find their skills highly sought after. Recent graduates have transferred to some of the best art colleges in the nation including Rhode Island School of Design, S.V.A. and F.I.T.
