Music Program (A.S.)
The Music Program provides students with a wide range of opportunities to learn about music and grow as a performer. Foundation courses in music theory, music history and applied music fully prepare students for transfer to four-year bachelor degree programs.
Instructors bring a wealth of diverse skills and approaches to both the core curriculum and complementary selections of general education courses, creating a rich learning environment where students can pursue their passion.
Private lessons are available to all students, with performances by jazz, vocal, wind and concert band ensembles at the end of every semester.
Students in the Music Program develop the technical, practical, aural and theoretical skills necessary for future study in a four-year college or conservatory. Creative career opportunities include music education, music therapy and music performance.
